Scope
Outdoor Living Spaces, Custom Paver Patios
This outdoor living space was built for a social family who entertain a lot, and that single fact decided the whole design.
Designing for the guest count

To get the most out of the space we kept the patio hardscape design simple. Every feature added to a patio takes seating with it, so where the brief is a large group, restraint buys you more than detail does.

Leaving the edge open

No retaining wall was needed here, which allowed for perfect flow to and from the yard. Children and pets can run straight off the patio onto the grass without a step or a wall to negotiate, and the usable space effectively extends well past the paving.

How it turned out

A large, uninterrupted paved area that seats a crowd and opens directly onto the lawn.
